I could go in an elaborate essay of my career plans, but the long and short of it is Rad Tech-> Radiologist-> Medical Illustrator. Its been an odd experience, this past year.
I really haven't done much art. Like, at all. Save for a brief stint over summer where various substances let me know what pink tastes like and enjoy the mystical unknowing of petbellies, but overall, it felt that art school had killed most of my creative drive. One of my best friends (a fellow art school drop out) told me to give it a year. I didn't believe him as the months rolled by, and instead of drawing every day, I was drawing a doodle every other month. Yet, here I am. One year later.
It came back.
Not in a gigantic flood of art, really. But that drive to draw, to put the medium to paper, that inexplicable passion that made me draw on the margins of my SATs when I should have been answering questions, that came back. I've been nurturing it ever since. A doodle here, slow work on some charcoal pieces there... and then classes started. I'm not sure what it is about an uncomfortable desk and monotonous voices droning on about stuff I already know that inspires me so greatly, but god damn, it does.
Ideally, I'll be scanning doodles soonish. And who knows, I might actually pick up the tablet and force myself to learn you crazy kids's damn digital art. Anyways. Its nice to be drawing again.

"But you'd appear better to the public if you have advisers. Less like a crazy egotistical dictator!"
"...Actually, I plan on ruling through fear."
"Oh. Well, in that case, I was an evil god in the first Black And White."
"Hired."
